Edea is a NY State Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist. Completing their Masters at the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture (2018), they have continued post-graduate study of Classical Chinese Medicine in Ann Cecil Sterman’s mentorship (2024); Clinical Integration with Lonny Jarret (2019); JingShen Pediatrics (2021); & Jin Shou Tui Na apprenticeship for Tui Na, Cranial Sacral Therapy, & Martial Arts (2019-2021).

Edea approaches treatment from a holographic perspective: attempting to witness the whole in order to understand the parts, to diagnose the roots (causes of dis-ease) in order to treat the branches (symptoms).

They love to cook, dance, wander/wonder outdoors & find deep nurturance through ongoing mediation, qi gong, & nei gong practice.

Kyng stands outside in front of a brick wall with a big smile. They are a white skin person with short dark hair wearing glasses, a purple button down shirt, a splash of color with a necklace, and thin suspenders.

Kyng is a Licensed Acupuncturist and herbalist.

Completing their masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College in 2020, simultaneously, Kyng did a 3 year long apprenticeship in Jin Shou Tui Na, Craniosacral Therapy and martial arts. This expanded on a career as a Licensed Massage Therapist in which they took part in a dual Eastern & Western body work program at Swedish Institute in 2009. They expanded upon their herbal degree with continued studies in Dr. Fruehauf’s Classical Pearls.

Kyng is an avid steward of the forest in which they live, their deep connection with all things root to bud informs the sensitivity of their perceptive touch.

We practice a comprehensive medicine that treats the root causes of illness through multiple approaches:

  • needling acupuncture channels

  • tui na (manual bodywork therapy)

  • cranial sacral therapy

  • moxibustion

  • prescribing herbs

  • cupping

  • gua sha

  • addressing lifestyle changes.

Our treatments seek to reassert flow & harmony in the presence of pain & stagnation by stimulating the 氣, qi or life energy, within a person by connecting us with our center and igniting our natural capacity for healing.

Healing is a continual and dynamic process for which we need each other.

We treat the whole person by recognizing the interconnections of our physical, mental, emotional, social, & spiritual realities.  We seek to create spaces within ourselves and our communities for compassion, reflection, embodiment, and intentional transformation.

  • I started acupuncture treatment with Kyng after undergoing surgery, having no clue as to the depth and breadth of the healing that they have to offer.
Seeing them weekly changed the course of my life in the subtle
ways that lasting transformative experiences do.

Kyng has the gift of being able to listen deeply to your body,
pick up on its cues and give all of you a place to feel safely held.

I understand myself more deeply for having been their patient.

  • Knowing Zee's skill set, approach, and “bedside” manner…
the world could not receive a better suited individual to care for it.

They have been the only practitioner to ever do bodywork and acupuncture on me where I literally leave dramatically, if not completely,
back into my integrity, softness and alignment.

I want to thank them for being both a mirror and bridge in my life.

    - Eva C.

  • At a time where my chronic pain was heightened & profoundly disabling, Kyng & Edea’s treatments helped me at the root of my physical, emotional, & spiritual wounding. Their care radically reduced my pain levels, helped me regain mobility, & guided me towards better understanding how the echoes of psychological & physical traumas had become stuck in my body.

Through them I witnessed in myself the depth of transformation possible through acupuncture & I couldn’t be more grateful to them.
Great Embrace Acupuncture is a blessing to all who are open to receiving their care.
